Through his work in Parliament and as Member for the Agricultural Region the Hon. Rick Mazza MLC has:

• made staunch representations on behalf of firearm licence holders and applicants,
• been responsible for the implementation of Private Use Kangaroo Tags and changes to gunpowder storage,
• made representations at Ministerial and Director General level on fishing rules and a range of issues that affect fishers,
• secured changes under the Fish Resources Management Regulations to allow anglers to retain fish frames in their bag limits,
• championed and contributed to the debate in favour of Private Property Rights,
• highlighted the importance of Prescribed Burns and the role of Volunteer Fire Brigades,
• Moved a debate on establishing an independent Rural Fire Service,
